DESCRIPTION:
It took 5 years for Horchata Network’s second full-length album to arrive after their debut CD in 2013. I only sang on 3 out of 15 songs on this Album. Track 2 “Not So Big”, Track 5 “The NATO Phonetic Alphabet”, and Track 6 “The Food Chain". Once again, this is the brainchild of the amazing Brian Peters (Paul Wertico Trio) who recorded and produced my band Dormlife's sophomore album Roses Are Blue. This project also consists of the talented Brian Fife in addition to Brian Peters and I. I co-wrote the music for tracks 2 and 6 with Brian Peters. Brian also wrote all of the lyrics to the songs I sang on. If you’re a fan of They Might Be Giants then this might be for you.

DESCRIPTION:
This was the very first Soundtrack I ever appeared on as an artist and also was my debut release in Score Composition. Every song on here was specifically arranged to be accompanying music to Leonard Ulrich’s second film: THE ILLUSION OF MONEY. These songs were designed to provide the perfect atmosphere as Leonard narrates his way through the documentary. In addition to composing 14 score pieces, I also wrote, recorded and sang the very first SLAVEIISERVANT song “Baptized In Credit” for the End Credits to Ulrich’s second film. This song spawned not only a band between Gonzo Shimura (of Canary Cry Radio) and myself but also many more songs to be recorded and released in the future.

This was a Benefit Compilation Album I put together with other Artists to raise funds for Dr. Kent Hovind and Paul J. Hansen. 25 songs, 23 artists, Multiple Genres... The CD was included FREE with a T-Shirt purchase for the campaign. I had two IIISAMUEL Songs on here. The song “Magistrates" was specifically written for this Comp. “Second First Impression" was the first demo I ever wrote and recorded (using a Casio keyboard for all the instrumentation with the exception of an acoustic guitar) under this moniker. In addition to both of those songs WE DEMAND HOVINDICATION also included an exclusive remix of the SLAVEIISERVANT song “Baptized In Credit" by Gonzo Shimura. On a side note, Leonard Ulrich filmed and directed a hilarious Music Video for “Magistrates”. You can view it in 4K on Youtube if you search for it. Other bands/artists found on this comp include: Destiny Lab, Dissident Prophet, 041M, Apoptygma Berzerk, Bonnie Montgomery, Ninja Scroll, Gremalan, Lore Arcane, The Bible Underground, Praying Mantis, Supplanter’s Fire, Behave Society, Instrument, and many more…

I only sang on 2 out of 15 songs on this Album. Track 4 "Apathology" and Track 11 "RX95-4000". This is the brainchild of the amazing Brian Peters (Paul Wertico Trio) who recorded and produced my band Dormlife's sophomore album Roses Are Blue. This project also consists of the talented Brian Fife in addition to Brian Peters and myself. I usually write the lyrics to every song I record but in this case I only wrote the music to the songs I sang on, while both Brians each wrote the lyrics. This album reminds me of They Might Be Giants but with 3 separate singers.

DESCRIPTION:
This was a b-side to Mustard Is The New Ketchup that we felt just didn't quite fit on the record. Our friends Dr. Manhattan (Vagrant) had a b-side called "Hot Sauce" from their album Jam Dreams (produced by Chris Conley of Saves The Day) so we called our song "Weak Sauce" and thought it would make a pretty cool Split 7-inch on Red Vinyl.
In addition to releasing this on ACR and appearing on the B-Side "Weak Sauce" with Dormlife, I engineered/recorded all of Dr Manhattan's guitar parts, bass lines, lead vocals, and back-ups for Side A. This was my first time manning the board to help finish the recording of a song by a band besides my own. The drums and piano were recorded by Daniel Goode (Gnight Gnight, Tall Tale) during the drum tracking sessions for Dman's sophomore album Jam Dreams in Dekalb, IL. The band later recorded the rest of their instruments and vocals for Jam Dreams with Casey Bates (Gatsby's American Dream, Portugal. The Man, Foxy Shazam, Chiodos) and Chris Conley (singer of Saves The Day & Two Tongues).

DESCRIPTION:
This is my favorite vocal performance out of all the Dormlife and Boomjuice releases, which ends on a positive note. I mean if you aren't progressing as you go then what's the point right? I delved a bit into jazz chords on this endeavor while ditching the open tunings I used on previous dL records. My vocals turned out exactly how I wanted them to and this was my first experience engineering all of my own singing at home. My sister played on half of the record as a brotherly/sisterly favor after quitting the band years back. Track #5 "Cocaine" was the catchiest pop song in my opinion. Track #3 "Venom" is still my absolute favorite and Track #2 "I Wanted To Believe (Myself)" has these intensely layered Sting-like harmonies at the end, which are reminiscent of The Police. All of the members of dL were all such accomplished musicians. The Bass Player, Pianist and Drummer could all read music and were light years ahead of me in formal training. I was the least educated of them all, yet somehow I wrote all of the songs. Weird. The YELLOW album was for me, the most artistically satisfying record in the dL catalog.
